Table pedestal made from the gear of old farm equipment.  Add a wood top up to 48" in diameter.  Round tabletops in a wood and resin are plentiful on the web, in a wide variety of sizes, colors and finishes, priced from $35-300. 

The gear was produced by the New Idea company.  Joseph Oppenheim's New Idea manure spreader was so successful in the early 1900s that it became the foundation a company that manufactured farm equipment for a century at its headquarters in Coldwater, Ohio.
