Model G-S 3-C Multi-Gauge, an earlier generation of a product still made by Schroeder Bros in its McKees Rocks, PA on Nichol Avenue. Schroeder Industries was founded around 1947 in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area, by four brothers,Frank, William, John and Alfred Schroeder.
From the start, the company specialized in filtration systems and equipment for use in hydraulics, playing a pioneering role in establishing performance standards with which to control contamination in liquids used in such industries as mining and automotive. The youngest of the Schroeder brothers, Alfred Schroeder (1923-2011) lost an eye a Normandy. Judging from things said about him at the time of his death, he was an exceptional man.
