Metal column capital with unformal styling or arcs and circles. The finished top suggests it was used with independent columns, square, perhaps part of a fence gateway. As a wall hanging it makes an unusual and distinctive ornament.
- Composition - Thin gauge steel with 100% surface rust.
- Condition - Rust had eaten away most of the original bottom lip so we've replaced it with new metal strips to reinforce it enough to allow hanging (see closeup photo). A few small corrosion related holes in the metal remain but nothing that will compromise its structure.
- Age - early 1900s estimated
- Size - 16" high x 27.5" square x 20 lbs
